Playstation Portable Project (PPP)

Post by Soulfeeder »

So yeah, I'm starting the journey of making my portable.

Ingredients:
PSONE
Hipgear PS2 Screen
PS1 analog controller
Soldering Iron 15 watt
No Dremel Yet. T_T
Or Bondo. T_T

The other stuff I will buy as I go.

So what I'm planning on doing is building it in the PSONE case. Then I'll cut the Controller in half, rewire it, and then attach one half to each side. Yes I'm going to frankencase.

So Right now I'm at the point where I have opened up my PSONE. But, I think I may have a Mod Chip to play International games.

Okay, I know now that it is a mod chip. We once got one put in so I could play this dragonball Z game, but I couldn't remember if it was in this one or our big one.

I've gotten the DC power off, and I'm working on the A/V jack, but it is really hard to get off.

Also, I have a predicament. I couldn't tell from the book, but would the 7.2 volt battery power both the screen and the playstation.

And, I don't have the regular PSone Screen, so I checked the DC plug and it said 12 volts. I'm pretty sure the hipgear screen doesn't need 12 volts.

So can someone tell me how powerful of batteries I need to get?

7.2 Volts at 2500mAh should work fine. Amperage may be less but then your playtime will also be less. 2500mAh should work for 1,5-2 hours with a led-modded screen.
