Well the point of the edit button is not editing your double posts, but rather NOT to double post in first place. I'm not sure you got the concept of that...

No a grown up, well an intelligent one at least would realize the shame of getting owned by a 15 year old and get his crap together. Bigger man? Go screw yourself. Seriously at least n64ape's posts provided us with some entertainment. Plus this is the internet where adults who are full of "respect your elders" crap get to be the same as everyone else and actually have to earn respect.

I would like to make a couple of comments, assuming your project is a serious one...

1) The case is far too thick, you won't be able to hold it and use it. I estimate from your pic that the thickness is about 70mm thick all round (assuming you have scaled the model correctly)? There is no issue with it being 70mm or even 100mm thick in the centre; the issue is the parts that you hold in your hands. The optimum thickness for the hand holding area is the thickness between the gap between your thumb base and forefinger base. Yours is probably double this thickness, impossible to hold. You could play it on a flat surface, but then you would be cricking your neck and straining your back to get yourself into a position in order to play the system.

2) Buttons look in good places, however they are a bit cramped, and as such difficult to mount as you indicated. You would need a strong plastic to do this, like 2mm perspex. If you lowered the PSone screen down enough from the screen you might get your buttons in place (be very careful not to rip the ribbon though), if that isn't the plan, you won't get the buttons in place.

Please continue (single, and relevant (not padding)) posting when you start making it for real, until then, I suggest researching this forum for the treasure trove of information from experienced modders on the site. I did. You, as I, will learn a lot of background which will help you in a project. Good luck.

I don't think so. I mean, this guy has TOOLS! That means he is somewhat close to actually doing anything (besides 'pretty' drawings)

Look, even if some of us get a little rude (or impatient that is), we don't mean to insult you pointlessly, we ARE trying to help you here, but you have to listen to us.

bacteria, for example just gave you some basic guidelines on how to avoid being flamed/not taken seriously and to improve your basic design.

Read it, consider it, do so.

edit: He was actually faster.

Now you got me curious. How (and why) did you acquire these massive amounts of... stuff?

I'm getting bad vibes about this project. So I'm staying the hell away from it.

Ok kyo im all ears.As far as the consoles & screens ofcourse ebay.Really i already know how to create this but i just want to know which battery you guys think i should use?Twisted that sucks to know because i almost pm'd you for pointers because you seem like you have good idea's.Maybe next time though bro.

I asked skyone about using this car charger as a converter
"circled in red"but he didnt think so.He must be correct but i just want to make sure.It has a 7805 at the bottom and a side to side button that changes the voltage from 5v "7v" to 12v what do you think?

As for the other he said its ok.

But the question i find to be the biggest is...
Image
What type of battery do you recommend i use for the portable?
I have all sorts.Ive seen so many use all different types of batterys & created impressive portables.I would like your input.

The lithiums in the bottom left might be good, but you have to be extremely careful if you don't want your portable to turn into a grenade. What are the RC batteries in the bottom left, NiCD or NiMH, and how many mAh? If they're NiMH and at least 2500mAh, they'd be a good choice, too.

@Everyone crapping on this guy: Give him a break, he's new, its not like none of you have ever made a mistake or anything. Yes, maybe one person telling him to try not to double post would be ok, but the whole forum's population doesn't have to.

@ButtonMasher: If at all possible, get everything you want to say out in one post, if you think of something else a while later (past about 30 minutes, before then editing is an ok choice), maybe consider waiting to say it until someone else has posted, unless its really important. And one thing that kinda bothers me is that you don't have a space between your sentences, so if you could please do that in the future, that would be great, it makes it a ton easier to understand what you say.
I know I just bashed everyone else for saying that, but I had to ask you nicely instead of leaving it at what they said.
