glitchy graphics

Post by Calce »

I was just wondering if there was a specific reason that I get glitched graphics on my NES. I went ahead and cleaned the crap out of the 72pin and even bent out most of the pins, but to no avail.

Am I able to go ahead and make it portable and hope it will fix itself out or do I need a replacement 72pin? Thx.

** Also, I am having trouble finding spacers and 4-1/4 screws. Is there an alternative to using spacers and can I use 4-3/8 instead of 4-1/4?

Most of the pins? Might wanna do all. Also clean your carts.

Glitchy graphics? Are you talking about a blinking screen or does it just kind of change colors and random sprites appear sometimes?

If its the latter, then a new connector would solve it IMO. But if it's just the blinking screen, a new connector doesn't do crap (I know from experience  )

You may want to check this place out, if nothing there helps, you should buy a new connector. And are you even cleaning out the NES cartridges themselves? They're the main reason the NES connector gets dirty. Maybe cleaning up where the cart connector connects to the main PCB might help too.
What's in your soda?
