If you're into platformers as well, Nights Into Dreams will be recommended by everyone, but only if you've got the cash for it. Other than that, I don't know much about the Saturn, I just recently got mine as well.

Defiantly get NiGHTS!

But you need that special controller to get the whole feeling of the game play it brings.

I just got me a Saturn also, an old one too.

When I saw the manufaturing dates on Wikipedia (Which I've edited the date)

Here it is from wikipedia

[edit] North American models
All North American models are black in color and were produced by Sega.

Model Type of Buttons Manufacturing Period Notes

This right here originally said 7/95. Mine was built in June
\/
MK-80000 Oval 6/95 – 3/96 Identical to the Grey Japanese Saturn but for color: the U.S. model is black.

MK-80000A Round 3/96 – 9/96 Features a notched power cord, no drive access light and a 1.00a BIOS. Internal jumper locations are changed.

MK-80001 Round 7/96 – 98 Similar in appearance to the MK-80000A, this machine has some changed internal jumper locations.

Early models came packaged with a redesigned controller that was slightly bigger than the Japanese variant. Eventually the Japanese controller was adopted. This was similar to how the Microsoft Xbox controller ended up, with a redesigned smaller version being released.

But yeah I'm just picking up games as I find them, not really going out of my way to buy them. All I have for it is a Golf game (So I can play Back-ups using the swap meathod, but Back-ups are a pain in the ass to burn) and Gex (2d one) The 3d N64 ones used to be some of my favorite games when I was younger, yet they were reviewed so poorly.

if you're going to play "backups" you might as well get a modchip. The swap trick is death on the motor and it will wear out way too quick.
