Megadrive clones in Russia

Post by fillosaurus »

I'm not russian, but i heard that Megadrive clones are slowly replacing Famicoms in Russia. Not a big difference of price btw them.
So, if you have any russian buddies maybe you'll get a hold on MOAC/GOAC's. It's worth to investigate.
Until now I did not found any in my country (Romania), but I think it's only a matter of time.
Owned:
Acorn BBC
Amiga
Amstrad CPC
Atari Mega ST, 1040 STFM
Commodore C64
ZX Spectrum (and several Romanian clones)
Sega Megadrive
Terminator 2
Gold (Diamond) Leopard King Famiclones

Interesting. Did you get a name by any chance? Any specifications? Where did you hear about it?

They are not GOAC's. They are pirate 68000 (forgot DIY name) + TV16B.

Hi guys,

I am from Ukraine. One can buy a new Sega MD clone here nowadays (bought mine this Sunday). These clones are made in China and are one-chip ones. The chip used, according to Russian Sega MD communities, is typically TCT 6035, however Google doesn't seem to know anything about it.

I found a place where you can order them. However, i dont know the stock of it.

The ones where im talking about are called 'Sega Mega Drive Twin Pad Player (Black) from AtGames '

Specs:
* Plug & play on TV
* 20 built-in 16-bit SEGA licensed games
* Supports RedKid cartridge*
* Plays original Mega Drive & Genesis games
* TV out connection
* With PAL/NTSC switch
* Official product, containing games authorized by SEGA

Content:
* Twin Pad Player System
* 2x Joypad
* AV Mono Cable
* Power Supply (100-240V)
* Instruction Manual (English & Chinese)

I do think those are ugly as hell, i think its worth the shot for the money as they are cheap (40$)
