You know that all milk is like 95% water, don't you?

I drink around two quarts of sweet tea every day. It is by far my favorite beverage. I can't drink any of that tea from a can or any of that Nestea crap, though.

I'm from the south, but I don't quite follow the typical southern sweet tea recipe because I find it too sweet to drink in large volumes.

I brew one family-size Lipton tea bag in around two quarts previously boiling water for around half an hour and then add about six or six and a half spoonfuls of sugar. I don't know exactly how much sugar that is. I use a normal small spoon like people use to eat cereal or stir hot tea. It's about the same size as those spoons that come in plastic disposable utensil sets.

Does anyone know the proper name for that spoon?

Anyway, brewing the tea like this makes it pretty refreshing, and it's not too hard to drink a lot of it very quickly.

So that would make skim .5% milk.

No. Not at all.

Pure milk is anywhere from 90-95% water, and 5-10% other stuff. The only difference between skim milk and 2% is the quantity of fat.

Whole Milk is around 90% water.

Skim milk is around 95% water.

I usually drink skim, but I prefer the taste of 2%. Every time I have whole milk, it disagrees with my stomach. :x

This sounds crazy, but I usually will drink about 5-6 glasses of milk per day. There's a reason we buy 6 gallons of milk at a time. My grandma doesn't like it when I drink "too much" milk; she thinks I'll get "calcium stones". :wtf:

One of my friends used to think (many years ago) that 2% milk meant that only 2% of it was milk and the rest was water.

I figured you probably were, but I can rarely tell for sure over the internet.

After my initial post, I figured I'd just go with it.

Also, maybe I'm a little defensive of skim milk.

My absolute favorite, though, is this soft drink I can't remember the name of. A good chunk of my family being Japanese, we eat a lotta Japanese food, and one time, my mom gave me a bottle of this blue pop that my grandma brought back after visiting my uncle Kazouki-san in Tokyo. The cap was a marble jammed down the glass neck, and this screw mechanism popped it out. Weird, but man, was that the best soda in the freaking world! Gotta get me some more of that...
It's called Ramune which i put as one of my favorites.

for those not in the know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramune

For non-alcoholic drinks, I would have to say Tropicana anything, specifically Tropicana Orange Juice, not for concentrate, without pulp. Without a doubt. Yummmmmmmmyy!

Edit by mod: Warning or not, still completely inappropriate. Read at your own risk.
Kurt_ wrote:As for alcoholic drinks*, I'm not much of a drinker right now (perhaps I will be when I'm old enough to drink LEGALLY :P ) but I like rum. Captain Morgan Spiced + Pepsi = awesome. It's better than CMS + Coke, and I'm more of a coke guy than pepsi, although they're basically the same thing. As I'm underage, there's no point buying lots of something you need to hide and have someone else get for you, so I haven't expanded my horizons too far below anything 40%. Canadian Club = bad, Jack Daniels = Good. Bacardi < Captain Morgan Spiced. Baileys = pwnage.

*Drinking is a filthy, vile, life-threatening way to have fun. I in no way support or encourage underage drinking, especially to underage minor adolescents under the legal drinking age. See what alcohol does to you you? BAD!

I'm 15, but I've never drank excessively or to the point where i throw up.

Actually I've only tried alcohol 4 or 5 times in all my life. The only type i really liked were coolers.

I am 18 next month, and legal drinking age in 398 days. (13 months). Don't point your finger at me, I barely drink at all. I haven't had anything illegal for several months. Besides, I'm not too far away from legal. I was merely stating what I have tried and which I like best, as the topic title suggests I do.

(Most of) the others are merely showing off, trying to act older than they are, like when you were little and you wanted to have some of your parents coffee even though it tasted really bad just because they had it all the time .and you wanted to be like them. The same thing is happening here, only not with parents or coffee.
