No, not like Halo where we are minding our own business and then the Covenant come and start glassing our planets.

We would be exploring space and find and advanced, peaceful alien civilization, and being humans, we'd naturally want to control them. But then it would backfire on us or something, like we'd awaken some demon or something.

Great minds think alike! I will was working on sort of background story from a single alien point of view. I'll post when finished. Humans are finally going to be portrayed for the greedy species we are. In the mean time some one come up with two good original race names. I need the race names for my story.

I'd rather be the humans invading the aliens, but you could just have a campaign for each side. Take the battle to them for once.
lol, "Found Planet"

On a more constructive note:

I personally would like to see something on the lines of a paranormal-horror shooter in a middle eastern setting. You know, like having ancient temples and stuff? I'll see if I can whip something up for a quick story idea... And IAM, if you get on MSN, we can talk about this some more. I have some experience with FPS Creator.

Ohhh ok so you mean a type of game where we find a generic type of Alien planet with beings like The Greys or something like that? And if you don't know what The Greys are their the short aliens with the big heads and almond shaped eyes. Freaky looking things.

BTW this image has been proved to be fake. Just giving a more realistic example.

so anyway... You there were 2 main ideas I had...

1) takes place in a colonial town in the 1700's... You have older guns, but weapons like the bow and arrow and swords and that kind of stuff. Monsters such as werewolve's and vampires have been recently destroying towns, and they fear you town is next. you are hired by the villagers to find where the beasts are coming from and kill them. you roam the forest, countryside, and numerous caverns and mountains and the such, and have a lake. theres some kind of source and you have to destroy it. along the way, you can get more weapons and make allies with the indians.

2) You take place as a beast-slayer in 1865 london. just like van helsing, your main mission is to find dracula and kill him. along the way, though, you find old castles with centaurs and dragons and other mythical beasts crawling all over the place. you would have better guns then the other storyline, but still swords and sheilds and that kind of stuff. and instead of just going around london, you go around all of europe.

hope you enjoy. im not really in to anything that takes place with in to last 100 years or the future anymore though, its kind of getting boring.

Here I go:

My idea is that you are just some random guy, you have a dead end job of a mattress salesman, no girlfriend and live at an appartment building with a bunch of other people. You know the other people and have a decent relationship with them, but our life takes a bad turn.

You have to go to a warehouse to help pick up a shipment of mattresses, but there is nobody there. You take a look inside the warehouse to see no beds, but rather a candle lit area devoid of merchandise. Walking toward the candles, you are struck down.

You wake up in a room with blood and rust on the walls. You find a Tokarev pistol on a table and you go out to try and find a way out of this place.

It has a certain Silent Hill feel to it, but it seems solid.

I would rather have a modern FPS game where your a average joe type of guy who gets attacked by aliens in the middle of the night. It would kinda be a survival horror FPS.

Or we'd be in future and like kind of with stargate theres tranport gates/devices. but we invented them. So we like use the to go to other planets. We enslave aliens (altough it's officially illigal) and sell them to other planets. Eventually theres like a rebellion and you can choose to be human or a rebell.

I meant with more modernized aliens like UFOs, and not being a freaking Native American with spirit walk.

I like the idea of earth sending up a bunch of people to settle a distant planet that was discovered. And after they get there earth loses contact with them for like one thousand years or something generic like that. And then eventually we go to find them again and they for some reason are hostile and we have to fight them.

EDIT: I also forgot that they have advanced far beyond our capabilities.

Thats a good idea. They have evolved to fit the almost unsurvivable climate there. For a while they could use supplies but that option quikly fails. They're pissed at us cause were inferior!
