Xbox mod help
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbox ... -cable.php
My friend did this the other day.. What he did was cut and spliced a usb cord and an xbox break away connector. What I have now is a Direct connection that goes form the usb port straight to the first player controller port of the xbox. Now I need to know what I should do. I cant find drivers, and windows wont read the xbox.

i did the first part with my friend which was loading up the thump drive with the required game save files and hooking it up to the controller port. (we used james bond for the game save glitch thing) then he did something with that. most likely overriding some bios settings or something and unlocking the drive. after you do what ever he did, you have to ftp some files onto your xbox. this means your xbox has to be able to connect to live. that might be your problem, but idk cause im still a noob at this

If you want to softmod you shoud use 007, Splinter Cell (original) or MechAssault (I think). Those are the only 3 that the game-save exploit softmod works with. There are many tutorials on X-S (xbox-scene.com) on how to softmod, none of which (to my knowledge) require any USB adapters, just memory cards and the games mentioned.

lol. Im no expert at modding xbox's but Im pretty sure you cant transfer files through the controller port...That tutorial is for connecting the controller to the pc, or a keyboard to the xbox via a usb port.
If you wanna transfer files, try using an ethernet cable.the tutorial wrote: You now have the cable you wanted for whatever reason whether its to Play Grand theft auto 3 on your PC with your Xbox Controller S that you love so dearly
or to plug in a keyboard to your XBOX and actually TYPE ON PSO or run xbox Linux
