Sonic & Knuckles cart slot removed, but can it still pla

Post by Thegamer3000 »

I chopped off the cart slot on a Sonic & Knuckles game for my project (I literally cut it off with a saw.) And I was wondering if there was a way to be able to play it again (without adding a game of course)

I tried plugging it in but I get a blank screen so I think I might've cut a couple traces. Can anyone open up their Sonic & knuckles game and give me a High-Def picture of the cart slot end?

Thankyou

Wait... instead of desoldering the connector on your game... you sawed it off?

Depending on what you cut I think it's dead.

It might be dead, but mine got ran over by a car, it fell out of my pocket while bringing it to my friends, and it still worked. the cart slot on top was destroyed and the cart's mobo was cracked, but they can take a beating, I wish i knew were my s&k cart was and I'de show you the end of it :(

The cart slot is riveted onto the PCB, I sawed mine off, too.

I am terrible at desoldering... especially cart slots

So I just sawed it off really close to the carts. I didn't break anything on the game all I might have done is cut a few traces off. Then again.... I never tested the game in the first place. I was just wondering if anyones done this before?
