Ultimate PSoneP Battery Showdown

Post by sdh »

Which is the best battery for PSoneP's in your opinion?
I'm on the lookout for the most compact solution but that still pack a good playtime.
How long does your PSoneP's battery last?

I've got a hip gear PSone battery that will play around 10 hours but weighs almost a pound.

So it's an external battery then, do you have pics/link?

yea its an external battery it has a tray to set the psone in so it sits in your lap and you can play on car rides or whatever heres a link and picsamazon link. I don't think it would be good for a portable but it would be very nice as just a backup or something to have with you.

With a Psone and Psone screen it only lasts about 1 1/2- 2 hours though.

Has anyone on these forums done a PSoneP with LED screen and internal battery of some sort, and what would the playtime be for one of these?

Not calling you a liar or anything, but I have 2 of them for my kids. And they take them on trips all the time, and they last a max of 2 hours. Maybe you got a special one.

Even the Interact site only claims 4 hours for theirs.

The HipGear claims 4.5 hours for theirs.

Yea I know they claim 4 hours but I just know last time I used it it worked for a long while, maybe my memory is getting a bit fuzzy.

No big deal, and I know that batteries get weaker after a while.

But 10 hours would be nice.

How long do you think it'll last for a PSoneP with a LED modded screen?

I don't remember the current draw, but just divide the rating of the battery by the draw of the stuff you're powering.

Yeah, joedog86 is right. It should go at least 2 and a half hours. Also it's much lighter considering its potential.
