I'd make it a bit wider for the pure use of Keyboard and Mouse... you need them man.

Why exactly do you need a gamecube power supply. and do you mean the part on the power cord or inside the gamecube.

at the bottom of the cube there is a tiny boadrd that gives 3.3, 5 and 12v out of 12 which the cast needs.

Looking good so far, could you tell me what screen that is? I'm gonna work on a DC laptop this Christmas, and that screen would be nice.

There is a way to hack it, try google. I saw it a few years ago. You can even hook up a floppy drive to the VMU slot with some work.
