UPDATE:OAtH_OS wrote:This wasn't a garage sale, but a badass deal. I bought a Dell Inspiron 5100 (2.5 Ghz p4, 256 MB RAM , WORKING BATTERY) with a fried hard drive for $30. I'm going to get another 512mb of RAM, and an 80GB HD for it soon. Only $44.50 left for me to finish it ( its $104.50 for the RAM + HD + S & H + tax.)
I put in a 20 GB Hard drive that my uncle had in his office. I bought 768MB of RAM online (a 512 and 256), but the 256 was defective. Gotta love 30 day warranty though. It still works great right now, I'm playing Halo, HL2, WoW.
So it ended up costing me $30 + $52 for a 2.66Ghz, 768MB RAM, 20 GB HDD, 15" Screen, 3.5 hour battery, Dell Inspiron 5100.
$82.

I just started playing this one, it's not bad. Starts off really slow though, and the combat doesn't get really fun until you learn how to pull off chain combos,TheOnlyOneHeFears wrote:I got a mint condition copy of Vagrant Story for 50p yesterdayHavn't actualy played it yet, as I had to revise for my German GCSE

Yesterday:
I found a stereo tape recorder/radio that looks like its from sometime in the 70s. I go up to a guy sitting at a table and he says I can have it free! Sweet! Well, not exactly... I take it home and try it. The radio works, but the tape motors don't spin. I took it apart today and started touching connections with a piece of wire, and I found out where to jump to get a tape to play! I'm going to solder the points soon today. All the other functions seem to work properly. So, in a few hours I'll have a retro looking cassette recorder that works, and the best part is that it's free! I'll probably connect a mixer to the line inputs and use it to record my band.

I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
