I dunno what to get...

Max of $250 want something that doubles as a high quality camera, and maybe has a keyboard with the QWERTY and that stuff?

Any suggestions?

Don't forget the cellular internet card and service. I'd rather do that than get a cell phone, and maybe theres a cell company that has free vo-ip with their cellular internet.

Look into a Palm Treo, those look promising.

A Treo will suit your needs. It can do anything a Palm Pilot can, some models include a camera, and I've seen a couple running SNES emulators. (You can probably pick up a 650 pretty cheap now, since they've been around a few years.)

To be honest I've never been impressed by any photo taken by a camera phone. They all have crap optics, which results in crap pictures. If you want to take high quality pictures buy a real camera with a real lens, none of this "1/2 inch thick wonder camera!" junk.

My newest guitar pictures were taken with my camera phone. They're not too bad either...

EDIT: If you want a high quality camera phone, check this one out. It's 5 MP and SMALL! You'll have to import it in from Japan though... and it probably won't be unlocked :(

Although there isn't any QWERTY keyboard, the Nokia Xpressmusic 5300 is an awesome phone, which doubles as an MP3 player. Good news, it's only 100 bucks, bad news...none so far :P

Yar, there's a phone that just calls for like $10 a month, and the phone itself is like $15.
Valve is the best company.

Quality will vary area. It all depends on a particular carrier's deployment of transceivers.

If you decide on a Treo, strongly consider one of the 'W' models w/Windows Mobile if you like emulation (many more free emulators for WM) or multi-tasking.

I broke my phone in half and couldn't start a new plan, getting a phone for $50, instead of getting the same phone for $350 and keeping my existing 2 year plan. It expires in a few weeks finally after 3-4 months with no phone.
I lika Pacman.
