Me would! Me would!

(even though, if you've followed the rest of the thread, you'd know that I am not a fan of strats. lol)
As for stain/sunburst... that is officially a "no-can-do". Why? Because I've filled any imperfections in the body with bondo. Blue bondo. I guess I could do a sunburst over the bondo... but then again, I think it would look pretty "retarded". So, paint is the only good looking option I see right now. Thats what I wanted anyway
I was thinking that when I finish this guitar, I'd start another and do a natural-type finish on it. I don't know about you, but where I live (BC) the last few years we've been having a real problem with the Mountain Pine Beetle. Just drive down the highway and you'll see the death. The death of pine trees that is. Anyway, when the trees get infested with the beetle, part of the tree is stained blue as a deposit left behind by the beetle larvae. So, I was thinking of building another guitar using this "beetle-kill" pine as the body. I'm not sure of the tone properties of pine, but it might be an interesting project. And it would look AWESOME, with the blue streaks going through the wood. I dunno, just a thought... I may, or may not do it.
