Update: The tuner card is not going to fit in that case, not with a fox, in a box, by the lake, or with a snake. So the Tivo is done for. The only place it would fit MAYBE would be where the hard drive will be laying, and given the choice, I'm leaning towards having a hard drive instead. It will probably go on e-bay in a few days.

On to the main project, progress will be halted for the next few days while I RMA the motherboard. It was working fine for a while, but then, either it decided go emo on me, or maybe something touched it wrong, but it made a pop, and won't recognize memory anymore. SO... I have more pictures for you guys, but I'm waking up early in a few hours and would rather spend my time sleeping than dealing with finding the camera cable.

Also, I got the switches working, all three SNES switches will be performing their original functions. Power for power, reset for reset, and eject for eject (Goodbye warranty) I will be sure to take pictures of the eject setup before I mount the DVD drive.

I'm sure that you all will be happy to know, I used super-glue, JB Weld and a stick.

Hey can you make an external case for the tuner out of a couple SNES cartridges? I see you have it on a short ribbon cable... you could route the cable outside the case and into the "cartridges". (One cart looks too small for the card, but two should work.) If you get them close enough you might not be able to see the cable... Sure it will add to the size but you said you wanted DVR functionality.

Just a thought.
