It's actually mylar. I'm not sure of the exact specs as I got it from a friend who works in the advertising department. It's like a big sticker on one side and has a reflective chrome look on the other. Was a gigantic pain to cut/place, but I think it came out looking awesome.Triton wrote:wha tchrome paint did you use! all the chrome paint ive ever used sucked ass!

Here are the exact specs for the chrome:
Avery Brand Vinyl for Signs
Product Code: A1846-S
Avery's product description.
Here it is for sale.
You can purchase it at any sign supply shop and some will even break up a roll for you as you shouldn't need any more than a yard or two depending on what you want to 'chrome'. Be ready to measure and cut a lot though. However, the finish is worth it. A million times better than any chrome paint I've ever seen.

The SMD LEDs on the front of the X-box 360 were a pain to swap. the LED is easily melted, too. If you have a soldering station use the hot tweezers. I don't have them but I have heard that they work better than a plain soldering iron tip. Try to desolder the LED, it worked for me. Set your soldering station to around 600 degrees and use a solder wick. Leave some solder and when you get the LED off add more than add the new LED using a lower temp. on your soldering staion. If you don't have a soldering station do the best you can with a non- temp. controlled iron.CronoTriggerfan wrote:Well even if they are, two leads shouldn't be TOO difficult!Turbo Tax 1.0 wrote:cool, cant wait for the led mod. might be tough arent they surface mount?
By the way, good job on the paint! Red's probably my favorite color of all time, and it suits the Wii well.
