yeah, GC screens are crap
......they're too thick, they consume too much power, and the image sucks. thank God there are still psone screens out there
!!!!!!! (btw, I called TRU today and they have one for about $20
)
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I pretty much am finished, just need to paint it and put a cover on the disc drive, and there is no way I'm gonna sell it. Soon I'll begin working on a GCp guide so if you want one, you'll have to build it yourself.flapjackman wrote:that portable game cube thing looks cool, i would buy it if it ever gets finished. you could call it PGC i would pay well for it.

hmmmmmm........I was reading one of Ben's essays (again
), and I came across this quote:
!!!!!!
but really, he's actually right in a way, as we might see the GBE in 2006 and it may be similar to GC (at least in graphics). it may or may not use GC disks, but if it's got similar specs, I'm saying it's a remade GC turned portable
.
anyway, just thought I'd point out that I have proven the 2001 Ben Heckendorn wrong
!!!!!!
ha! looks like I've proved Ben wrongbenheck wrote:we will see a portable Gamecube by 2006.

Awesome job!!!
Congratulations Gamelver!!! You've done an amazing job!!! I love what you were able to accomplish with the unit, and you've inspired me to give something similar a try. I know nothing about hacking a system or putting one together, so I can't wait for your tutorial!!!
Beautiful (and very functional) piece of hardware.

Very cool. I look forward to checking it out. I'm going to get the book Ben is releasing in the coming weeks and hopefully the chapter on electronics and wiring and such will give me enough of an introduction to where I can understand things for when your tutorial is released.
Again, amazing work!
