Broken Xbox Trigger, fixable?

Post by iX NES Xi »

I was getting ready to play my Xbox today when I realized that my Xbox control's right trigger was not working, I have'nt touched this control in at least 6 months and I find it weird that all of a sudden the trigger would die. I was just wondering is it possible to fix it.

NESBest what kind of a post is that?

Of course, depending on the problem.

Is the trigger loose or anything? Or does it feel the same but just doesn't seem to work?

Details man!

I've fixed many controllers and the like!

The hardest being a Wii nunchuck...

But anyway, it is possible to fix if you can find the problem.

If you're to afraid to even open the thing, then you're screwed.

I reccomend opening it up and looking over the stuff around the trigger.

There are a million things that could have gone wrong.

I have the same problem with mine. I've got a 3rd party one, the trigger just suddenly stopped working. It feels the same though...

Definitely a complete fabrication, I dont know anything about Europe (as I have never been there) but here in the US, 3rd party accessories (at least most of em) are awthum, as long as you know what brand to get for what accessory.

Well the only good third party controller that I thought was good was the Interact SuperPad for the SNES. That was Ages ago tho.

Back on topic. I fixed my roommates first party xbox 360 controller by stretching the spring out in the trigger and cleaning all the gunk/cheeto dust out of it. Works fine to this day.

Yeah they do! Previous 3rd party controllers I've used have been crap. (N64 MadCatz controller, yuck!) But, my logitech PS2 controller is awesome. Maybe I like it so much simply because I dislike the default Dual Shock design so much.
