Radica question concerning video
What all video standards can the Radica run? I've had the odea to do a few Genny portables and now that we have the datasheet for the vgPocket Capsule LCD's... Well, long story short, can the radica output RGB or can the composite be adapted to RGB?

A Spanish member posted info on getting stereo out of the Radica, but no one but him had tried it last I checked, as his info was a hard to understand for most members. It seems they mixed together both channels of sound together, so that's why it sounds horrible.xenepp wrote:The Radica only has comp out sadly. You can add an RGB encoder but it's a bit fiddly.
Did anyone figure out how to sort out the horrable sound on this thing?

Well colour me blue and spank my monkey, I found my Radica which I added a cart slot to and guess what? Looks like I added a stereo headphone port to the little sucka!
If I remember correctly, this eliminated the distortion too, but needed to be amplified. The on-board amp was a cheap and nasty capacitor circuit, so it seems replacing the caps with lower ratings will sort that little problem out.
Now to just get that FM channel boosted so you can hear Sonic jump! (Sadly though, I think that's a lost cause since it must be built into the GOAC).
I'll post pics of the mod plus findings on Z80 capability later today (if there's any Z80 at all).

mmm...i recon that the goac has a native S-video output. But the Y (Luminance) and the C (Chrominance) signals are mixed on the PCB. To get a composite signal.
