Well, I think I'm going to get one. But before I do, I need to know if it uses the NOAC, or if it uses seperate chips like the NASA system.

Well, since no one seems to know, I guess I will take my chances and buy one. Hopefully it has a noac. If anybody wants, when I get it I could take pictures of the guts.

I would love to see the innards of this thing. BTW my money is on NOAC. The unit is too cheap to be anything else.

Okay, it just arrived today. So, when I can figure out how to transfer the images from my cruddy camera onto the computer, I will put them up.

Yeah, the Neo Fami is a normal NOAC as far as I know. I doubt it'd be anything else. They're just expensive versions of other pirate Famicoms floating around (admittedly, the build quality also seems to be superior).

Yes, it is a NOAC, as I had hoped. Here's the pictures:

Wow, it's a box!

A nice looking little system, I almost didn't want to take it apart.

The overall quality seems quite good, much better than a Superjoy, so hopefully I won't ruin it when I try to wire on my 72 pin connector. :P

Whenever I get around to it, I might also put up a pinout for it. Not that it's that hard to figure out. :)

gannon: They do indeed. And really, other than the other parts of it, it looks a lot like the NOAC you'd find in a Super Joy. I'm pretty sure they're all the same thing nowadays. The Super Joy is probably just a lower build quality than those that get imported into Japan.
