taking apart PSone screen?
Last week I bought five PSone screens for fifteen dollars each from KB toys. So, I thought about it; with all these screens I decided to make a N64 portable. It was my favorite system as a kid, and it still is. Anyway, I went to my friend’s house and picked one up for ten dollars then came home to work on it.
I began to try and open the PSone screen, but alas it won't open. So can someone explain, or direct me on how to open it?

Hmmm... Is there any way to get the speaker covers back in? If so Im gonna hack my only psone screen...SpongeBuell wrote:make sure you get the 2 screws under each speaker and under the rubber pads. Of course, you'll have to do the visible ones as well. Then take a small flat screwdriver and pry it open.

They're sticky on the back. Just be careful and you'll have a mere dent on the side.HK-47 wrote:Hmmm... Is there any way to get the speaker covers back in? I took the bottom apart, and began to try and pry the screen but I didn't want to break it. Hopefully I didn't hit the LCD board or something.

So I tried to do that ^, but it didn't work. Was it because I didn't use the playstation with it? Did I fry the bottom boards, the ones you see when you unscrew the first three screws, with Static? Did I hit the LCD board with the screwdriver? Help is appreciated.

1 that method should work, though some psone screens suck and you have to mod them...cyco vision wrote:I took the bottom apart, and began to try and pry the screen but I didn't want to break it. Hopefully I didn't hit the LCD board or something.
