Should help.

Also, check out abbibi's site, http://www.doomportables.org, for a battery diagram. Just go under to the N64 section.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

i just drew up the concept map of my new portable
no scanner
but no Screen yet
i will use the bord and rotate the bord clockwise so that the cart port is on the right and the power/reset switches are on the left.
on the botom of the font it has the contols but the start button in near the a/b buttons in the center there is a TV on off switch becouse i want my portable to be able to play on the Televison or my old computer monitor.
The contol stick is placed near the D pad.
on the left side is 3 control ports for Duke Nukem Zero Hour or Mario Party and the L button
on the right is the AV out port and the R and Z trigger buttons.

A really good pair of needle nose pliers or break down and buy a bit for it.
I used the first method for 2 of my n64s, but I just took a dremel to the 3rd.

melting pens...it works! all you do is light a candle and melt the end of a pen and stick on the screw as fast as you can...DON'T move it until you have counted 30 seconds...then the pen will be cooled down...use some pliers to grip the pen and your other hand to push it down...this works REALLY well...i have opened 3 gamecubes this way

uhhh...you guys...why don't you just use the gamebit screw part? You can get them on ebay for around $10...that's how I opened my N64, Nomad, etc. And you don't have to melt your system ;)

Hey you guys,
I worked for a long time to build a super small portable N64 but stopped some weeks ago because I couldn't get enough battery life out of the system (15 minutes on 4 AA's). I'd LOVE to know how to increase the battery life or what kind of battery I should use (I got 15 minutes even off a 7.2n ni-mh 1200mah battery). If I can figure out how to improve the battery life (don't forget I have to ass the screen to that too!) I can finish my N64p very soon ^_^
