ShockSlayer's X64 progress. Yes, I have better progress.

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Too lazy for photo's, but I have sanded down the case again from it sleek blackness(with the execption of the sides, to be done) and I have ripped up some of the hot glue and shaved it down. I am going to epoxy and sand over some stuff, and I'll get a pic or two once thats done. Then I'm going on a mission on what to do after spraying on the primer.

The guts are going along pretty well, cart is relocated and I have a sweeeet cartridge box and ventilation chamber on the back. Which looks sooo stylin!

The controller is looking pretty good, with the wii joystick and all. The L R and Z buttons are going to be these 1337 pressure switches I got, exactly like the ones in the n64mobile

My screen.....We are having serious dificulties, which may or may not be resolved within the weekend.

Batteries are still as nice as ever.

NOTE, all of the below is directed at twilightprincess.

N64s have one of those motherboards, when sometimes they fry inside their case, and sometimes you can set fire to them and run 330v down them and they don't. (Ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my drift).

To quote directly from Ben:
On this same token I also do not have, nor plan to do/make any of the following:

* N64 portables or plans. That system breaks if you look at it wrong, very hacker-unfriendly. Just buy a DS.
If Ben finds it hard, it must be bloody hard. Now don't get me wrong here, it would be great to see another finished n64p, but I just don't want to see someone else making the same mistake as me by starting something, and spending much more money on it then I would have spent just to get one built by ben for me...

So, the decision is up to you in the long run, but you just have to note that even the best modder out there is almost guarenteed to fry something, but you might just get lucky.

Good luck.

if you take a look there is a couple of people who have made successful N64p's and there is a lot, i havent heard them say anything about them breaking exept a few. but thatnx for the warning

My death count:

6 n64's either dead to cart slot, voltage problems, or traded away
3 screens:1st fried 2nd fried 3rd traded away
Inneumerous controllers: Due to my own part salvaging and stupidity.
3 games: Starfox 64, PK stadium 2, Revolt

But I knew nothing when I started. If you gather info, and comprehend it, You should kill less...anything. I'm just waiting on a screen. The I will be done!

Ask me questions before you do anything!
