Proper Card (Cart) Connector?

Post by figmentfilm »

I know I've seen this on the forums before, but noqw I can't find it. I'm trying to grab a cart connector off DigiKey... I know it's 72 pin, but whats the pitch? is it 0.1?
Need this answer ASAP... thanks!
(We should add that answer to the NES sticky)

I know, I know, I can get these connectors from other things, but I don't have the time or the resources for those to be a cheaper option than this.

Cheers!

I am not an expert, but I believe reading that it is 0.1.

0.098" pitch with a 0.067" edge thickness IIRC

yeah, I remember .1 too, but I'm pretty sure that that was for the Sega project...
I just compared my Sega connector to that on a game axe from another project and to a cartridge... it doesn't quite match up... by pin 20 it's all sorts of wrong. that's with a .1... Anybody out there have an official answer?

ack, nevermind. I just got 2 Game Genies off a guy on eBay... he had a cool (buy two get a free game) deal too... So I selected Gyromite off his case (which I thought was a pretty funny surprize!) So, I got cart connectors a plenty!
Cheers!
