Because.

If you want to customize the forums, install the Stylish extension for Firefox and make your own user style. (Basically you write your own CSS code and it applies it for you.) www.userstyles.org has a couple, but they're down for the time being. (At least for me.)

As I said before, a lot of forum skins are ugly as poop ans squish the text into a 200 pixel wide square.

Notice you're the only one with a problem with the look of the forum? Go find a decent looking skin that doesn't eat bandwidth and doesn't restrict forum width and we'll think about it.

Actually, no. All other subXXX templates would eat the same amount of bandwidth, and I can name quite a few that look better than this, with all of the restrictions you noted. And how would replacing the phpBB logo with the custom logo eat bandwidth? I'm sure everyone would like it more, though it's not a huge deal.

EDIT: Doesn't Ben have unmetered bandwidth? What's the big deal?

All we're saying is that if you want to complain about the template, find/make one and show it to us, we might add it.

I remember a while back that there was a new skin that looked just like our current one (subSilver) but more "Milky" and with a cooler logo. Am i just dreaming?

I think skyone made a second logo to replace the Phpbb one up top.

First of all, what is your problem?

Second of all, I don't have a problem with the subsilver theme, I have a problem with the stock phpbb logo on the forum, which, lets face it, is horrible.. It doesn't take 2 seconds to change it, and there is one already made!

I don't know what forums you've been visiting, but I haven't seen any with their forums squeezed into a 200px box, and I wasn't implying to make this forum 200px in width either. I had no intention to make this place cause siezures with 100s of colourful graphics, just a change of the stock graphics. Where's the harm in that?
There are 100s of subSilver style themes, but in different colours that look great.

Hey I think there's a spambot on the loose with the name "retromaster". It seems to be a new breed of spambot programmed to emulate an annoying prepubescent 12 year old :?

Was the mod uninstalled or something, because I'm seeing spambots everywhere.

If you are part of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.

No, that's an actual person spamming around. It will be taken care of soon.
