yeah, but that needs a whole new computer, and a pretty expensive one, too.

This is the desktop of my windows partion, my linux which I havent touch until tonight (for homework) is the standard RH9. I'd put up my Mac but that too is standard.

As for how I got my computers; The first one I built from the corpse of my dad's old one and some parts donated by a friend. My currnet I got as a birthday present and the Mac I paid about $200 for, my mother picked up $100 and counted it as a Christmas present.

If you want a computer you can build one really cheap for like $150 on the lowend and TSS built one thats on par with Alienware for around $500 maybe a little more.

Edit 1: If your looking for an alternetive to windows and dont have any experince with linux or anything try out RedHat Fedora, I've heard from many sources its better for learning than any other distro. Otherwise if your willing to spend money on some hardware thats a little out of date go for a G3 or early G4.

I used to hate macs, too. Then I found out OS X (much better and quite a bit different than any older mac OS) is based on Unix. (BSD, to be more specific) Seeing that Linux and OS X were basically cousins, I was thinking it would be fun to have a mac for playing with OS X. Then I took a computer software class, and now I really want a mac.

Also, I was assuming that sam wanted to use his existing hardware, dragonhead.
