on my fc twin, the rgb lines work, but they are dark.... like, a bit too dark. >_> I guess a cap is the solution, as it usually is with rgb, but at what rating?

thanks. I also confirmed one thing about the FC twin: some of the video encoders are faulty. Because the composite ceased to send out anything BEFORE I removed it from the case.

Well thats a better chip, cleaner picture than the 1145 and it does s-video. I'm not positive if they are drop in replacements though. Maybe thats the problem.. pirates.

This must have been the problem I was asking about weeks ago when a guy at the fleamarket told me these were unreliable. He said a lot of them failed shortly after purchase.
By "failing", he must have been referring to the dead video signal Klefmung is talking about.
I'm really anxious to get mine so I can take it apart. I dont plan on modding it right away, but i do want to check everything out. I'll let you guys know what IC mine has.
For the record, my FC Twin also used the CXA1645M IC. Its a popular encoder, used in lots of consoles including the PS1. This IC supports s-video out for those that want it.
hailrazer has some pics in the other thread. Unfortunatly I already put the thing back together so I cant verify the noac doesnt use RGB, but next time I have it apart i'm going to start tracing things. Ill post the info if someone else doesnt beat me to it.
