Well, don't abuse the free sample request stuff. You'll make it so that the company will stop offering free samples. Free samples can be very handy though, so I'll contribute to this thread. ;)

Anyways, here are some good companies that i've ordered parts from for free and had good experiences with:

www.ti.com <-- Texas Instruments
www.fairchildsemi.com <-- Fairchild Semiconductor

Both ship with next-day shipping, very good.

I've also ordered some free cases from www.pactec.com. According to my tracking info, there supposed to come on January 11. I'll let you know how my experiences go. :)
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Linear Technology has free samples as well. I got two SMD RGB video amplifier ICs from them for my N64 portable! :) I haven't had the opportunity to test them, though. I need a few more parts, and a way to solder to those tiny, tiny pins... :?

Edit: Also, Pactec is awesome. I got two cases from them a while ago... shipped pretty fast. :D

I don't think so. If people keep adding stuff, it will be a good collection of resources! It might even get linked to in one on these stickies...

Why would it get deleted? :? These are places offering their stuff for free, it's not like anyone's stealing it. It's not spam, as someone's bound to get use out of it and it's certainly more relevant to the theme of the forum than some other topics.

WTF at all the people saying stuff about this getting locked. Has it really gotten to the point where anything negative or questionable at all can get something locked? Free stuff owns! Ti is the only one I've gotten free stuff from.

Two things about the previous post...

1. There's really only one guy that said it'll get locked.
2. There actually wasn't even anything negative said!

Edit: Wow... okay... the post before the previous post.

Do you have to buy something for them to give out free samples? Also what do they offer?

I'm feeling so cheap by doing this.
