DC Controller Mod

Post by Klappstuhl »

Just thought I'm going to share what I did to my Controller.

Here we have your average Sega Dreamcast Controller. It's huge, isn't it?

Soo...

<a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/3434 ... lerie6.jpg" border="0" /></a>

<a href="http://img106.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... r04vp3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/1395 ... vp3.th.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... r05jd5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/8135/d ... jd5.th.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... r03dv5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9517/d ... dv5.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Now it is even easier to store the cable!" /></a>

All I did was to cut off the 2nd Card Slot, pretty simple. Maybe I can even arrange to someday integrate a Rumble Pack and a MemoryCard into the Handgrips.

@ Turbo Tax 1.0

Sorry, but all I have is a Third-Party MemoryCard.

<a href="http://img177.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0001sy0.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/1173 ... sy0.th.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img0003vn5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6352 ... vn5.th.jpg" border="0" /></a>

It looks a little goofy, but once I've integrated it into one of the handles it won't be a problem.

@ gamemasterAS

That's not a bad idea actually... I might if I find the time to.

Edit: Like this? Just theorizing how to.

That would be freaking sick! Of course, you'd have to paint the background black and do the "U" in brushed gold/copper colour.

Simple, but nice, and I can see how it would come in handy for keeping the control wires neat. Good job! :)

I don't think this guy's coming back. His last post was in 2006 and he only has 2 posts.

Why'd you bump it then? I was under the impression that this was all new because I've been gone all day. There should be some way of marking a bumped thread, so it doesn't seem like a monster thread just appeared out of nowhere, when really its just something like this.

I only bumped it because I didn't check the post date. Normally, I wouldn't have...
