I have to say, I like what you guys have been doing to the site. And yeah, a visual rehaul would be pretty nice (although I am really proud of that sidebar...)

How's the hand? (Last time you were around you said you had surgery on it or something...)

Yeah the logo's a bit long in the tooth... I could try coming up with something else, but I have my hands tied between college and redesigning <a href="http://bicostp.portablesofdoom.org">my own ugly piece of junk</a>.

Especially when I'm the lowest bidder.

My finger is alright. It doesn't work quite right, hurts in cold weather and is shaped like a banana, but at least I can wryte adn tipe again.

Is anybody else creeped out by the laughing emoticon?

You guys must have forgotten about this...

Anyways, I'm working on a design that's similar to my new homepage (which is now currently online), but more round and without the side padding.

Improvements:
- Skinnable!
- "3 click" rule (It should take 3 clicks or less to get to most of the information)
- Easier navigation!

I can throw together a fake screenshot. It won't look fancy, but it will have the basic layout.

I'm also cooking something up.

Goals:

-Skinnable
- 3 clicks or less to most information
- Simple design loads quickly and is easy to work with

Problems:

- /me sucks at images (might want a new logo)
- The blue thing should stay in the white area
- The drop shadow logo doesn't look good on the dark background (<b>FIXED</b>)

Yours is great to look at, daguuy, but (no offense) it reminds me of an old Geocities page form 1997.

Mine's not too pretty at the moment, but it works and loads really fast. (The only image is the logo!) Once I manage to pull some system / screen pages out of thin air it will look a bit better. Besides, i believe an informational site shouldn't be overloaded with eye candy, because the content is more important. (Just look at Wikipedia!)

If anyone wants the "PoD Lightning" logo (complete with remastered shadow), here it is:

It's starting to look like something now!

Changes:

- Poll and random portable parts added
- Added "League" and "Alternatives" to the navigation bar.
- Threw in some lorem ipsum dummy text
- Added the pic of nos_silved to the sidebar for craps and giggles

Standing Problems

- Silly blue bar at the bottom won't stay in the white area
- The poll looks screwy. On the current PoD page, it is in a "DIV" tag, but I can't find the corresponding CSS code. Where is it?

The sidebars may look vaguely familiar, because I copied them off my homepage redesign. Let's hear it for code recycling, the lazy web author's friend!

Well I tried editing mine to make it not look like crap but it didn't work

Bicostp: The blue bar may merely be a nesting issue. Make sure it's inside the white area, not outside and just positioned inside.
