PS2 controller and game screen
I did a search and didn't see if anyone has talked about this before, but has anyone seen the game controller with the connected 2.5 inch screen? Could this be used in a portable in some way? I know it is small, but may be easier than some other ideas. I was at my local TRU today and they were getting rid of them at $25 a piece. they had a few there. Was just curious.

just realize, a 2.5 inch screen , I believe its smaler than the Gameboy Advance screen, am I right?
so, just imagine what a movie would look like on that? or , some high detail game ( I said movie cause I figured you meant a next gen system, and watching movies ( wether in game or not ) is a big part of those )

Yes it is smaller than the GBA/SP screen (GBA is 2.7). Using the screen with a Playstation it isnt bad at all. I havent tryed it on my PS2 as its not working. But as we can run the thing off as low as 5v and its only $25 who cares. A screens a screen you want detail spend the $65 for a PSOne screen then.

Armored Core didnt look too bad at all, but I really got drawn into playing that game.MasamuneX wrote:It is more well suited for 2-d Games.

I dont see why not. We have in the past taked about making a standard A/V hook up so if we get together we can have multiplayer games. As the problem with the Hip Screen is solved we could use its A/V hook up as a standard. But it depends more on how the others feel about.

No I dont think split screen would be a good idea, if you've played StarFox with 4 people you'll know what I mean. The people at Hip Gear though ahead and made them so that all you needed to play against 2-4 people is to have player 2, 3, or 4 plug into the first players A/V pass though. Its a shame they think you can play games on the Xbox with the screen, think of how hard Halo is... Sniping is just about imposible let alone tracking from a distance.

I bought mine form KB toys. They advertised the thing a $30, thankfully I got it for $25 (answered a simple simpsons qestion to get $5 off). Also dont bother looking at Xbox or GameCube, I've seen them advertised as more then the PS2 controller/screen.
