Would anyone on this board actually tear this thing apart to make a portable NES? Just curious, considering it's rarer than the official toploader.

I did come across a pic of the insides to this. Looks pretty small, although I'd want to relocate that cartridge port.

Looks like it could have been the board in the Mini-NES. By the way what do you think Main Super means that is on the top of the cart slot? Seems odd that they would have the term super on the NES.

Whoa! Maybe I wouldn't want to relocate that cart port! If I'm looking at this thing correctly, the cart slides in over the main board. The P4 and P5 outlines at the bottom of the pic seem to be the controller ports. The cart slides in from the front and the controller ports are in front......where's the eject button tho? :?

Come to think of it, maybe this is a first version of this system. There are other pics on the site that show a black system instead of the gray/black stripe colors on the assembler site....

at closer look I see the controller ports and fruont loading neses dont have eject buttons you just pull them out this thing is the same way

I think it had some shealding that would cover the bord and cartrige would slide in on top of that maybe not though

That NASA clone looks pretty nice. It even looks like it uses seperate ppu and cpu chips rather than a noac. That means the quality should be better. The entire main board is smaller than a nes cart too :)

I don't think they will take it down. It probably violates some design patents due to the similar appearance, but there is no pirate software. There really would have been no tip-off to take it down if there were no pictures, even with, unless Mother N calls it in, it will probably remain.
