Double-A's, or DULble-A's?

I was experimenting with using AA's to power my NOAC, which didn't seem to be enough (memory artifacts all over during games), so I plugged in my NI-MH battery with the AA's still plugged in.

I then reset the system, and it worked fine.

For fun, I unplugged the NIMH battery:

and was greeted with:

I don't know whether this is an easter egg that the designers put in, or a VERY coincidental memory artifact.

Have any of you noticed this?

I don't think so, it seems almost too perfect to be a glitch. My guess is that the developers put it in.

Most likely a glitch, as you can see that some of the games on the list got corrupted as well. That means that the memory just got screwed up. If you try it again does the exact same thing happen, or only something similair?

Just a glitch. The sprites just gotta messed up. Nothing intentional.

It does that every time. That was actually the third or fourth time I tried it when I took the picture.
