since when was final fantasy made by nintendo or sony?Kurt_ wrote:Seriously, Sony is really trying to dig themselves a pit out of their stupidity and inability of knowing when to stop. Sure, Some of them were good. The first couple from Nintendo, and FF7. But really, TWELVE of the exact same game? Honestly. Discuss.

I, II, III didn't match my taste- too primative in terms of graphics and storyline. IV suffered for the same reason in my mind. V was incredible, VI was even better. VII was on par with VI.
Then I tried X...and there wasn't an RPG there at all! I spent more time watching prerendered cutscenes than playing! Where was the complexity? Where was the classic leveling? What, so guy A can't even dent enemy C because only guy B has the "heavier" sword? From there, I decided all future titles would not be worth my time.
I have plenty to do, though, considering I haven't actually beaten V, VI, or VII yet.
I have no information on VIII and IX.

X was magical, then SquareEnix had to ruin it by releasing a Charlies Angels type sequel.
Im not dissing X-2 it may be fun but FF-X still leaves me in awe. The Story is phenominal, even though They borrowed a bit from star wars (Sin is Tidus' father, Jecht). Over all I think X was better.
I would never compare Final Fantasy to Legend of Zelda. they are 2 different types of games. Zelda is action adventure, FF is RPG.

Did anyone besides me get that? Final Fantasy C! It may be pretty far off, but think about the much closer, but still very far off, Final Fantasy XXX. That "XXX" carries some negative meanings, but I hope Square-Enix doesn't wimp out and go with modern numerals. I doubt it will happen though, since it just wouldn't make sense, not to mention the huge tradition it would break.Darth Fett wrote:I'll wait 'till Final Fantasy C gets here before calling it ridiculous.
Well, I got FFXIICE, and the bonus content was definitely worth it. The tin case is cool too. Also, Final Fantasy is the best series ever. And don't call me a Final Fantasy fanboy. I'm a Final Fantasy Fanatic
