I am still new here, so I may not know the actual reasons, but here are my thoughts:
1. Doesn't Ben pay for this? If so, he has the right to do as he pleases and can chose to allow everyone to make the choices or stick to himself. (Or the other mods/admins however he choses)
2. When someone makes something like a forum they have a plan, does your wants fit into Bens plan?
3. This forum may be open to everyone, but enless your creditcard is paying the server fees, then its not your choice in the long run.
4. I don't see anything wrong with that forum being made, but think about it like this: "I have been making *names random sysem portable*, I know a few others have made one too, we need a forum to hold it all!"
Enless you limit it to those that would be commonly used, the forum list could explode full of mostly unused forums. Thats fine for some people, and others it would drive nuts.
My sugestion: Add one more forum, one that covers all the gaps, not just the Neo Geo. I don't know if there are other gaps, but if there are any then it would be usefull for them too, and watching how meny topics about each system is made could allow for better choices on later forum sections.
I'm not saying anyone is wrong, I'm just saying that just becuse a few people made one and that it has fans doesn't mean it needs a forum. Though at the same time it doesn't make it a bad idea ether. I hope I didn't offend anyone.
Please Add Neo Geo to "Console Projects"

Hey look, a Minnesotan! What part, if you don't mind me asking? (I know my profile says I'm in Western Wisconsin, but I only go to college here; I'm from Minnesota originally)arfink wrote:Speaking of which, my Neo Geo MVS came today, as well as my KOF 94 and Metal Slug 2- I can't wait to get hacking. Put up the new section, and I will readily post some materials for you guys.

I would so love to have an aes but they are so damn expensive.
I used to go to this bar where they had a Neo-Geo mvs with 8man, Samurai Showdown, Metal Slug and some soccer game. I should go there again and check out if they still have it
Too bad they didn't add Neo-Geo to the Wii Virtual console, that would have been awesome!

A general "Arcade" forum is a good idea. It covers a whole spectrum of stuff, including the Neo Geo, MAME cabinets, etc...

It just arrived yesterday by Express Mail.
I am now the proud owner of Ben Heck's Neo-Geo MVS portable

I ran a quick test using my Neo Geo Old Style Joysticks, and it plays and sounds Great.
Now, it's time to hook the portable to my joystick console for test #2.
I can't wait for the mods to add the Neo Geo/Arcade section!
... my Atomiswave is waiting for a cool mod!
