Well, for me who waits 24 hours and (if I get one), I stand to be making anywhere from $15 to $60 per hour for my time spent in line.
Well I got back from Wal-mart a while ago, sadly I have no PS3 . The way that my local walmart did it was, they didn't allow a line until noon, then when noon came around, the first 12 people in line got tickets for the PS3. I was number 7 in line and my friend was number 5. But then, as the guy counted out the first 3 people my friend got shoved out of the line by some college kid. After that I got shoved out of line by a fat guy behind me, and we were both out of line and without PS3s. luckily I only waited for 3 hours so it wasn't that much of a loss.
i would have made mr fat mans gut say hello to my fist (or groin to knee etc) because if i am waiting inline to spend my hard earned money on someting i really want (which would not be ps3 but i digress) hell if i would allow myself to be removed from that line in any way
I would have, but there was an armed policeman standing about 10 feet away from us and I didn't think that retaliation would be a good idea, but yes, we were actually pushed out of line. We were the youngest people there though.
boy this sure is a lovely console launch, it goes from standing in line to getting shoved out of line to big brawls in line to a whole line of people getting stood up and robbed and one man SHOT, people driving by and shooting them with bb guns and supersoakers, cars getting broken into etc.
keep in mind, that stuff is the worst of the worst, stuff that the media would fine worthy of reporting. They won't show much of the uneventul lining up.

Thanks to my school districts transportation department sucking balls, I've learned over a period of 3 1/2 years how to get to the front of the line easily. The last 10 or so people in line will have to sit 3 to a seat, or go home.
I can gurantee that these skills will get me a Wii...
im gonna have to get to walmart around 6pm tomorrow if i want a good chance to get wii they are letting em start lining up at 8. so if i cant get one at walmart (they are only gettin like 30) im going to go sleep somewhere for awhile then show up at target at 7, they open at 8! and are getting around 20ish. ottumwa sucks for console launch! the whole town got maybe 15
(5 each for target gamestop and walmart i think)
yeah, I'm pretty much doing the same thing....I'll probably head over to walmart at around 7:00 PM and if I can't get one I'll just camp out in front of Best Buy with a couple friends.
Without games my life would have no meaning.

OOOOH MAN, WORST TIME EVAAAAR!! i am never, ever, camping out for another console again. waiting from wednesday night to friday morning was murder. at least i was able to get a good spot in line and get a 60 gig ps3.
I have 3 friends and my dad camping out with me sunday VERY early morning. We're going to bring speakers, DS's, and a copulate ton of food and drinks. Time to stock up on zelda remixs, to appease the rabid zelda fanatics. OCRemix FTW!
So the big word around town is all about the PS3. That's odd, as nobody I knew even talked about it until this week. I haven't been here in quite a while, (counterstrike doods) so I'm not shure if you've started a wii thread or not, but by the title I assume it's relevant.
Anywho.
I've got a few friends that are waiting in line for the wii, and I think it'll be great to play on sunday. Until then, I'm playing garrys mod. (which turned out to be awesome) The local target here will have 69 wii's, so I think my friends in line will have good luck getting one.
