Marijuana was the first thing I thought in reading the title...:-P.

Anyway, for muscle, I recommend using some sort of balistic gel. Find some in 'powder' form, and buy it. I think you have to mix it with some water or a substance and then put that in a mold and dry it...however, it can also be used as a substitute as flesh, it's a really versatile object that radically emulates the muscle system by adapting to force. :P

OK, bones and joints...I say to use special 'pulley's and metal rods. Rods will act as the bone, but use a pulley as the area where it meets. It's hard to explain, but the 'thigh' portion rod serves as a contast that on that side the pulley is definite, whereas the 'shin' rod moves along and is loose...

I feel wood would make a more realistic (breaking wise) bone.

tendons (or muscles):

different sized rubber tubes. like the ones for slingshots. surgical tubing would work too. You can wrap manyu together to make a realistic looking muscle. (1000 tiny ones if you wanna be REALLY realisitc)
Hey, sup?

Use poplur(sp) wood for bones, tendons I would suggest a cord of some sort (nylon would work),muscles... If you want just a look go with a gel. If you want something that will work yiu need a mechnisim that can expand and contract (think extend-o glove), and camiflosh it with a housing and I would go with a strechy material like spandex.

Good luck.

Yea, the guys are right, I'd say a wooden rod for the bone would be better...but the pulley is FTW! :P

Doesn't ballistics gel melt if you leave it at room temperature?

I don't think so. The MythBusters use it for their crash test dummy (Buster), and he's experianced temperatures from below freezing to temperatures that scorch flesh and for the most part his skin stays intact.

Indeed ;-), and it is so great for it is extremely versatile and is vulnerable to virtually the same amount of force exerted on Human Flesh.
