lol good luck finding a plasma for that cheap at that size, your best bet is an HD lcd at walmart or target, they have some really nice tvs for under 700$

Check out HDTV PC monitors...they sometimes are cheaper. Also, check out BJ's or Costco. They have GREAT deals on HDTV's.

why not just write etch-e-sketch?

seriously I have looked into this myself and the best deals are those that are 40-46" LCDs DHTVs

SONY has a BRAVIA product that has been geting cheaper and it has many connectors, however, their chearer models only support up to 720p while I want a 46" with 1080p under $2000...wishful thinking I know...

Sam, the customer service is excellent. The return policy is just average...

Jarjar, with the year end and superbowl coming up, this is traditionally the best time to be purchasing TV's. Good luck with your purchase.

If size isn't an issue, you could always check out a nice HD tube TV (Which I personally prefer over flat panels)

I've been looking into replacing my 20-something inch thrift store CRT within the next couple of years and I'm looking at projectors. (BTW the smallest plasma I've seen is around 40 inches, all the normal sized flat panels are LCD's).

There are a few decent projectors out there for this price range (including a $500 Lumenlabs that will use $30 bulbs instead of $300 bulbs) that will get you a decent picture. The cool part for me is since I'm military (and move every few years) I don't have to worry about moving a 300lb television or having the movers mess it up.
