you mean like the Apple Newton?

yeah, Jobs said its not gonna happen. ever..

oooh.......dual g5?
i have a single 1.8g5...
Jobs also said the iPod would never do anything but music. ever.
And that the iPod would never use flash memory. ever.
And that an iMac behind a screen wouldn't happen.

Wow, that mac mini sure is tempting. I've been wanting to make the switch for a while now, but Power Macs are just way too expensive, and the new iMacs, as nice looking as they are, are also expensive since you also have to pay for the built-in screen and mouse, keyboard, etc, even if you already have ones for your PC. Maybe I should get one. I wish it had a G5, though.

Hmm, I guess whenever Jobs says that Apple is not going to make something, then it is safe to say they will definitely make it. :D

This is interesting... they say "hook up a display and your (implying EXISTING) USB keyboard and mouse"

I bet this is aimed at people upgrading their PC's!

And why not? I've had the same keyboard and monitor for my last 2 computers! Interesting how they've wedged this product in.

And aren't all free monitors (especially free flat-screens) CRAP anyways?

But are there people who only use their computers to look at photos and listen to music? I like to push my computer(s) to the limit and make them cry out in agony NOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still... not to take sides... but even though Macs are more solid it seems like it takes an extra click or two on average to do something on a PC that's one click. (Flame away!)

Yeah, it'll come out eventually. Think about it, they have a portable 60 GB HD with a color screen that can play music, look at photos, be a calendar/address book, and play simple games. Next they'll add in Bluetooth for syncing up, then make the screen bigger and make it atouch screen instead of the scroll wheel, and then they'll announce Mac OS P(ortable) and add on Airport, a web browser, hand writing recognition, a word processor, etc. IE, it'll be a Pocket PC, except a Mac. It's gonna happen kind of slowly, but it's happening.

Lol, that's what I had to do to get my G5. My parents said if I scored a 1500 or higher they'd get me one, so I got a 1500. :P

You parents got you a computer for doing well on the SAT's? Heh... and I thought I was a geek. I never took the SAT's however I did get this for a graduation present.
