metal shields in atari 2600 jr.

hi!

ihave done a mod on a Jr. now.

is it possible to use the atari without those metalshields? it would be a little tricky to implement them again ;)

what are they for by the way :P

they are just shielding for when you have it hooked up through RF. It's not really needed if you do the composite mod.

Yep.

If you still have the RF box attached, hook the 2600 up through that and play a game without the shielding. You should see why it's needed. ;)
