A few months ago, I took apart my grey controller, and thought how am I going to build it into my design. As most of you know I just left my N64 for quite a while without doing anything.

Well just a month ago I came up with a design for my controller to be built into the 'Chunk 64'. So I was fiddling about with it, when *gasp*, I scratched the circuit board where the A button is meant to be. So, genuinely, I panicked, I put the controller back together and.....

The A button didn't work (I can't bridge wires to the button tab) . So I took out my Black controller, and took it apart. I left it alone for a small time, in case I broke that controller.

In the top have of the controller where the buttons slot in, you know all the bits that the screws go into, I ripped them off.
I then took apart the analogue stick, because it was loose, and fiddled about with it, then put it back together. It was still loose, but a bit better

Just a few days ago I changed my design, and it involved putting my controller back together.
You have all probably guessed it didn't go back together

Anyway I had an idea, and...

Redesigned Design

My friend says it looks 10 times better than it used to look. Also the analogue stick looks like its about 2 times more sensitive on screen. This is good news for me. And my new design involves the three prongs of the controller sticking out of the bottom of the case.

What do you think people?

P.S. I've done mixed up the shells of my N64 controllers too (blue and gray). It looks pretty 1337, actually.

i dunno about you but i really use that a good amount. IMO a good redesign would be cutting off the whole left 1/3 of the controller, and keeping the right 2/3.

I did that with my gray and purple N64 controllers and my black and green xbox controllers. Never get your conrollers mixed up at a halo party again.

No, you've probably misunderstood me. I not going to cut off any 3 of my handholds. I'm going to leave them alone
