just some quick questions:
did you keep the rumble on the controler?

if you did, doesn't it afect the disc reader? :?

and, did you keep the second controller port? (just in case you have
mario kart or smash brothers)

anyway, it looks great!
can't believe i've finished contra 3...
now i need a new purpose on life...
ok lets go to final fantasy 3

well, theoreticly, even if its still there, there should be no problem
There isnt enough surface are on the Disk Vs. are tightly escured in the middle
so, theoreticly, the Gamecube portable will be skip free no matter what, unless the laser itself has a weak support, but I dont think a controller will matter

yes, I took the rumble pack out (actually I just took out the motor, there isn't an actual "rumble pak") because I wanted to save power and there's really not enough space for a motor to be wizzing around in there.....also, I did keep the controller board in, so you can plug in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th player controllers :)!!!!!!!!! also, there's a switch to choose between external/internal 1st player controller :).
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I have a new idea for batteries and wondered how long I can expect from a 2.6 ah 12volt

Wow, I gotta admit I didnt think you were gonna make it what with all the broken controllers and stuff. Shame on me for doubting you!
Cant wait to see it finished.
Are you gonna paint it? I think flat red would look great, just a suggestion. :)
Hurry up so you can beat Ben to the first GCp! Hurry! What are you sittin there for? Go!

yeah those controllers definitely slowed me down a bit......
I'm pretty confident I can have the first GCp, unless Ben or someone else pulls a fast one on me, in which case I will....not really care, as I'd love to see a GCp by Ben :).
btw, I probably won't paint it, mainly because I'd probably screw it up :P.

I've decided to maybe try and add a new secret component to the GCp........the only clues I'll give are that it's relatively easy to wire up and it's something most people don't buy for the GC.....btw, the GCp is coming along pretty good, I'm putting the all the guts back in today and next week (midterms this week :() I'll work on the back plate along with my secret component ;).......

yup, jack's right :). the reason I may do this is obiviously so that I can play a few games online (the ones with LAN will work too, via tunneling :)). in the relatively near future it may not only be a few games, however. there are people working on a "controlsim" for the GC where it would transfer the controller data over the internet. Basically, it's a splitscreen game where instead of having your opponent in the same room, he/she could be anywhere :)!!!!!!!!!!

to gannon: hmmmm I was searching thourgh your pics and I came the pic of your GC's psu.....it looks different than any of the ones I've seen before :?........and I've seen my share of GC PSUs, believe me ;). have you checked the voltages it outputs? they may be different than the ones I've had.......
