Original Snes problems

Post by Djsefnet »

I am using the orginal snes board for my next snesP and cannot get video from pin 9 for some reason. the only pin that gives me any video is pin 7 wich is suposed to be s video.

The picture i can get from 7 is black and white ad i thougt mabey the battery was washin the colors form the sony screen because the voltage is 9.2v
I reduced the voltage to 8.3 and it still only gives me black and white from pin 7 and nothing from pin 9. Anyone have any thoughts on what could be going wrong?

pin 7 is probably the luma half of the s-video singal, its supposed to be black and white.

if you find the chroma (the other half of s-video) and connect it to pin 7, you should get a normal picture.

It doesn't matter, really. If you want composite (I'd go for RGB), just connect 7 and 8, it's the exact same as using 9.

connecting 7 and 8 werk fine and all but on the psone screen the brightness and vol bars dont come up when you hold the buttons down. the volume does go up but no bar on the screen tho show you what your volume is at. Same with brightness only it doenst get brigher or dimmer just stays same and no little green bars.
