SCSI cart relocation

hiya

Im currently in the process of relocating the cart slot been putting it off till the last.

Anyway I've removed the cart slot by pulling it firmly upwards

I then procedded to put header pins where the cart slot used to be

I grabbed a scsi cable and pushed it onto the header pins, pin 50 ran along the red line on the right and pin1 on the left of the cable

I then pushed the cart slot into the other end of the scsi cable keeping the red line on the right

I was just about to turn it on when I realised how wrong this is

Basically what I think is because Im plugging it into the scsi cable its like plugging in the cart slot on the underneath of the board

So pin 50 is where pin 25 should be

Am I thinking thhis out correctly ?

I dont want to fry my n64 not after all this work

Where did you get the 50 pin scsi?

Anyways, No, I think you've got it wrong. But, there's always a multimeter, so use that to check.

26-50 is where 1-25 should be however they are ascending the correct order so i cant just put the cart in back to front


any helpl antone pleasseee?

i can get 50row 25 row swapped around but the numbers will go in the wrong direction so when you plug in the cart it will switched from left to right

oh well guess i have to solder it long oneeeee

yeah i had the same problem. the solution was to put another scsi header on the end of the cable. then you have 4 rows, and use use the middle two.

not entirely elegant. but it works. and it lets you tweak the sapcing so it fits better.
