Damn, I forgot to post my own favorite: Super Mario Sunshine!

Not sure why, probably the realism &/or attitude in all the characters, & all the interaction/innovation w/ all the surroundings! (I mean, what can't you do in that game!?)

The only thing I don't like is the kiddieness way of dying! I mean, this one time, I died when one of my step brothers was in the room, & it did the whole "Too Bad" thing, & he was all <img src="http://mtac.profusehost.net/misc/pics/wtf.jpg">

definitely SMB3. I still can't beat it all the way through without some help (online level guides, faqs, etc.).
Not to mention, it is cool to watch it be beaten in 11 minutes...

Sadly, to tell you the truth, the only Mario game I've ever beaten w/o anyone's help (& not cheating; using warp zones & the Save State button on emulators) is Paper Mario. Still, that game funking rocks! (But not as much as Super Mario Sunshine :p)

mario forever. I like it because you acually attack bowser instead of pulling the axe-lever and letting him fall in the lava. everyone knows he is immune to lava; how else does he always come back the next level?

You're forgeting in the New Super Mario Bros. where bowser comes back as a skeleton.

Anyways, I've heard some good stuff about Hotel Mario. Is it seriously good or does it suck?
