Solder Burns: Ouch
Today while modding my TV screen to use LEDs instead of a tube, my mom called me and I clamped my iron onto my clam and went to help her. I came back, and immediately swung my left hand into the iron. Now I have a gigantic blister that's likely to scar (It's about the size of the digit of my index finger). Luckily, I stuck my hand into our kegerator before any serious damage was done, but hours later it still hurts like hell.
How often do you burn youself or injure yourself in general while working on a project?

I've gotten some small scars from my soldering iron back in my n00b days...
The worst blister I've gotten was from touching some hot glue I THOUGHT cooled down! The blister was about the size of a dime.
Then, last independence day, I burnt both my thumbs lighting fireworks. No serious blisters, but it did brown the skin. (my thumbs kinda thickened/roughened up thanks to it...)

I have blisters on the tips of every finger after my "dodgy" methods of getting the cart slot out of my custom pcb after putting it on the wrong side. <_<

G-force gave me a soldering iron last year and when I went to go use it I plugged it in and went to get some stuff. When I came back I tried picking it up and found out why G-force gave me the soldering iron in the first place. Half the handle heats up with the iron so I grabbed it and burned all my fingers. It kind of hurt but I dropped it fast enough before it did any real damage. Luckly I was out in the garage so when I dropped it it didn't burn anything!

Re: Solder Burns: Ouch
I don't suggest doing that as you have a 100% chance of failure the tube is what puts the picture on the screen and happens to be full of lead which would happen to possibly kill you.Indigno wrote:Today while modding my TV screen to use LEDs instead of a tube,
