upgrading the tech,pushing the envelope...LITERALY!

Post by bluevalium »

Has anyone ever though of upgrading a system, maybe even cross breeding two different systems to create the ultimate system? Well if you have, get the crazy notion out of your head unless you can solve some of the problems a mega system would have...let alone portability.

so...my challenge to everyone is to start at the most basic element of technology...temperature. When we hack a system and portabilize it, the system is confined...thus the internal temp is hightened...

And this is not a gameboy...high temp mean melting chips....

so what do you do to save your ps1/n64 monstrosity from over heating???

no seriously....help! MY PS/64/DC IS SIZZLING!

ok....now if only I hade 300 dollars to spend on fans....and I live out in the boonies....no one here hacks devices, their just friggin' happy that one-tooth papy, and full-beard-mammy bought them a system. I think I can cross a computer fan but I dunno....

now that that's done....what to do about portability....this things got it's own screen, but it's floor bound so far.....how could I make it portable?

well, isnt that were creativity comes in?
remember, your going to have to find a way to have the power be sent to only one of these syestems
and youll need a switch
however, I dont really think youll ever get a handheld out of these, hell, just the boards alone are to big, plus you need 2 disc drives and a cartridge slot
I have a thought on just how it might be a console, but handheld, I dont know
but you know what, for the good of all us here, try and prove me wrong, I would love nothing more than to be wrong on this, also, take butloads of nice quality pictures

Anime-chick avatars ARE cool...but I stop at Kagomae...now THAT is an avatar!...back to the megasystem...Maybe we could make it wireless...and thier's no way to portabilize it, so it needs to be tricked out fairley well.

wireless functions-what it would do
1) Cut down on wires
2) auto wavebird-like system
3) widescreen ds play(? software might not be compatable?)
4) wireless gba communication forum(see next post)

What wireles stuff will be needed...( I'm going with WiFi for now b/c it is web & DS accesable)???
ah-ha! I knew the Uber-Ameobas wouldn't die that easily!
