Yep. Every TO-220 3-Pin Linear Voltage Regulator.

my bad, I never specified the regulator. it is a LM317T, in simpler terms it is an adjustable voltage regulator. and when i said does it work for everyone i meant EVERY SINGLE REGULATOR!

The 317's only difference on pinout is:

Pin 1: ADJ
Pin 2: Input
Pin 3: Output

now i need to know how to adjust it to a certain voltage. (i basically need an example.)

since your creating a diagram(thanx by the way) i need to know how to ACTUALLY adjust the adjustment I understand everything else but what determines the adjustment. again thanx :D
