Just a quick update...
Cut out the case, bent the metal and such. It's looking good so far. I also superglued the nuts for the screws on the PSOne screen. Fits perfectly. Obviously I still have to sand the sides around the metal, but that won't take long at all. I wired up the controller and stuff, here's what I've done so far:

Well that's all for today. I'll make some more progress this week, and maybe even finish it.

Well after a lot of work on this thing, I'm ALMOST finished. I still have to do a bit more work on the case (widening one button hole, clear coat, attaching the back, putting in the new N64,) but other than that, I'm done. Here's a preview:

Before painting, notice the screws, nuts, bolts, spacers inside the case. Took a long time.

Another before painting. More hardware.

After painting. Still needs clear coat, but looking damn sexy IMHO.

Another pic. Will be done by Saturday, with final pictures.

Wow Joe! That's some kickass work. I'd say it even matches up to marshall's work. Just throw some enamel on there, and you're good to go. 10/10 work!

Great job! I like your color scheme, it matches the original N64 PERFECTLY. Also, you should put some kind of logo (like the N64 "N") on the top of your portable. It would make it look even sweeter!

It's glued to the case. And the metal stripping is supporting the case up.

No, its screwed into nuts that are epoxied to the case.
And it was 4 in the afternoon in Texas. I'm pretty sure the grass wasn't wet.

I liked it better clear, but I'm an 80's electronic geek. I do have a clear GBO. I'm working on a clear project of my own. Looks like a good job though, definitely good enough to show off.

Flat black is a good choice if it can't be clear.

Heh, yeah. I've done so many relocations and then had the mobo fry on me. I'm not even going to try.

@anotherperson: I used some epoxy to mount everything. Let me tell you: that stuff dries hard as hell. Nothing inside that case is ever going to move if I don't want it to. I can pick up the entire case by each spacer. The fruits of my labor.
And yeah, I liked Sifuf's clean design, although I used Ben's NESp as a starting point.
