The South Park Curse
Have you noticed that when ever South park has an episode based around a comercially released game console, the thing fails? Such as the Sega Dreamcast, so far the PSP, and i havent seen anything on the Okama Gamesphere.

Well, in the "TSST" episode, Cartman had (I believe) a 360...

I think you're reading too far in to this. Also that PSP is doing better then the DS, in America anyways. As far as the 360 goes, no other next-gen console is out so we don't konw if it will fail, wait!
The key thing that killed the Dreamcast was just the fact they didn't have the fanboy base Nintendo has, and the fact the PS2 had DVD video playback.

How can it be doing better when the DS has sold more units worldwide than the PSP?Sparkfist wrote:I think you're reading too far in to this. The DS is popular in Japan where they love Nintendo, but not so here where everyone seems to like the PSP more.gamer2 wrote:How can it be doing better when the DS has sold more units worldwide than the PSP?Sparkfist wrote:I think you're reading too far in to this. But the Okama Gamesphere is obviously the Gamecube, but that kinda works too because it failed compared to the PS2.gamer2 wrote:Have you noticed that when ever South park has an episode based around a comercially released game console, the thing fails? Yes, I'm Jeff. There you have it.
Actually the Okama Gamesphere can't be the GameCube, and for one simple reason... the game they played on it. Thirst for Blood isn't something Nintendo would lisence. If I had to guess I would say it's a spoof off the Xbox. After all the kids say it has 128MB DRAM, and the way it's talked about its the most powerful system to exsist.
As for the DS. I've seen one and I played a little of the new Mario Bros. game. It's a nice thing to have if you're into gaming on the go. But PSP offers things more like a PDA, and really for the price you pay I think that's what a lot of people care about. I can't speak for everyone here but the PSP just appeals more to those that want a mediaplay in their pocket, and that is a good number of people in the U.S.A.
